After meeting the lovely Natalie Lovett of the Whitewed Directory here in Wiltshire I was super excited when she very kindly introduced me to Emma and Vanessa at Grittleton House.  This beautiful house nestled in the Wiltshire Cotswolds is a pure gem and a wonderful Wiltshire wedding venue.

Before starting my business a few years ago, I had visited Grittleton House for a friends wedding but had never imagined being able to capture its unique architecture as a wedding photographer in Wiltshire.  The day I was invited to shoot their very first tasting evening for wedding couples was a pure delight for me.  I jumped at the chance and set too capturing the elegance of this former school and its grounds.

At the beginning of the evening couples soon started arriving and so did the canapes and champagne courtesy of their chef Andreas.  Emma and her team organised the tasting of a three course meal together with the most fantastic complimentary wines all supplied by Jill Frost of Matthew Clark.  I have to say all the food looked amazing and the deserts, well they looked mouth wateringly tempting!!  I loved the way the attention to detail and friendly service had everyone loving the evening and left wanting more.

The house and grounds provide such a fantastic backdrop for a wedding day, perfectly manicured gardens, decadent rich decoration of the rooms all leading from the long hallway.  My personal favs were the ceremony room and that gorgeous staircase.  I could just imagine a bride walking down holding the stairs after having her picture taken at the top of the stairs with that wonderful window behind her, just stunning.  So many photographic opportunities not to be missed on such a special day.

I’m sure there will be many more opportunities for me to be part of this lovely house, as quite frankly its addictive.

If you are planning a wedding and are looking for a Wiltshire wedding venue, take a look at Grittleton House, you won’t be disappointed. Give them a call today and see for yourself what I’ve been talking about!
