Lots of questions?

As you plan your wedding day you’ll have so many questions.  These are just some I’ve been asked before. Don’t be shy, if there’s a question you have just let me know.

Have you worked at our wedding venue before?

I’ve worked at many beautiful wedding venues through Wiltshire and the Cotswolds over the last 7 years.  If I’ve not worked at your chosen venue, rest assured I will familiarise myself with the layout well before your wedding day.

Are you professionally insured?

Yes I am.  I hold a Public Liability Insurance (PLI) of up to £5mil together with Professional Indemnity Insurance.

Should your wedding venue wish to see proof of my PLI just let me know and I’ll send it to them.

Are you available for our wedding date?

What a lovely feeling it is to receive questions like this. I always check my calendar and get back to you within 48 hours. If I do have your date available I will tentatively mark it in my diary until the date is confirmed with a £300 holding fee.

Can we meet you?

Yes of course.  I know what a difficult decision it is to find the right photographer for your wedding day.  You need to feel assured that you actually like the person who is going to be with you all day!  This might not necessarily be me.  Oh and there’s no obligation to book, just to talk about your day.

We can either meet face to face for a coffee or via Zoom.  Either is good with me, just let me know and we’ll set it up.

Can I have some group photographs?

It would be a shame not to.  Whilst you have all your family and friends around it would be criminal not too!

Before your big day, I will send you a pre-wedding questionnaire that which will ask for all your wedding day details.  I need to be sure on timings and the venue address for example.  You will be able to detail all the group photographs you would like there.  If I think there are a few you might like I’ll mention them on the day.

What time do you start?

If you have booked me for a full day coverage I will be with you about 2 hours before your ceremony.

For half day coverage I will be with you an hour before your ceremony to capture guests arriving.  If you would like me there earlier just let me know.

Do you supply prints and albums?

With your gallery comes a shop where you will be able to order prints directly from the supplier.  They will be delivered to you not me.

The images loaded onto your gallery are high resolution print ready so will look amazing when printed.

Should you wish to purchase an album, there are many different options available with the suppliers I use.  We can talk through options of colours, the amount of pages and of course the amount of images.  All these factors have a bearing on the cost.  Once I know exactly the type and style of album you would like, I will email you a quote.  If you wish to go ahead I’ll send you an invoice which needs to be paid prior to the album being ordered.

The albums are beautiful and I do have an example should you wish to see it.

Do I need a second photographer?

I usually go by the amount wedding guests you have during the day.  If you are inviting more than 80 guests I would advise that you think about a second photographer.

A second will assist with organising group photographs, capture groom preparations and many other perspectives throughout the day.  Their images will be amalgamated with mine and edited by me in my style.

What happens if you are ill on the day?

That question comes up a lot!  I have worked in this area for quite a few years now and have got to know lots of other professional wedding photographers.

Should the unthinkable happen and I get struck down with something awful I will make sure your wedding day is covered.

I would also look to edit all the images in my style too, when I feel better of course.

This is another good reason for booking a second photographer.

Do you have a COVID-19 clause in your Contract?

Yes is the short answer to that.

I’m sure you are aware how badly the pandemic has hit the wedding industry and for this reason I would like to protect your booking and of course my business.

I really hope we are through the worse of it now but should it be necessary to reschedule your wedding day because of COVID-19 I will of course endeavour to do this for you at no extra charge.  If I don’t have your new date available I will refund your money.
